Zi Wang ED.M., LMHC.

From seeing her first patient in New York City, Zi has been passionately advocating for her patients’ mental health and overall well-being since 2015.

As a mental health professional, Zi spent a significant amount of her career at community mental health settings, believing in serving the underserved and never forgetting where she came from. Graduating with a Counseling Psychology degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, Zi has consistently made an effort to show up for her patients with compassion, honest feedback with kindness, as well as unwavering belief in humans’ innate desire to improve and find genuine connections.

As an educator, Zi has been teaching graduate students at her Alma Mater’s Department of Clinical & Counseling Psychology since 2021, serving a diverse but select roster of students who expect excellent and ongoing growth from themselves and the people they work with.

Known for her candid and practical style, as well as her ability to consistently deliver positive encouragement and tailored feedback, Zi intentionally commits to maintaining healthy daily habits and meaningful relationships in her personal and professional life. As a former competitive athlete, coach, and sport psychology specialist, Zi understands the importance of learning from her wins and losses, having grace, humility, and resilience to strive for excellence.

Zi lives in Brooklyn, New York. When she is not holding sessions with her patients or teaching on campus, she enjoys freshly made coffee, keeping up with the latest sports news, and trying out new recipes in her kitchen.
